Dear art lover!

The idea of this portrait originates from the fact that being a woman in this world is a separate art.  We have to be as strong as tender,  princesses and achievers, mothers and money-making careerists, and all the other things that the world expects from us. Therefore, I depict this portrait of a woman in transparency, elusiveness, inaccuracy of the female image. Female image is the only object of my art, manifested in a variety of incarnations and situations of life. And this portrait I have made in blue monochrome to paint something unreal. There is something Gothic, mysterious, and incomprehensible in this painting. And in this state, there is my story of fillings experiences, because I did this work in the first months of my move to Turkey.  And all my feelings of loneliness, adaptation and at the same time calmness, because I am where I want to be, makes me to paint a woman image in the similar state.

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

FULL DESCRIPTION OF THE PAINTING

I am painting this portrait in a state of rough experiences of the events of my life. In my 45 I moved to Turkey and have bought a flat as I dreamed of in the beautiful city between the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains.  And now I have gorgeous views on the sea from the one side from the apartment and on the mountains from another side.  So my artwork depicting this state of mind and my soul to be an adult woman in the middle of her life and feel happiness and frustration at the same time.

Looking at this female image you can see the same – she is an adult, obviously, you can see that the portrait of a mature woman, not a girl, not a teenager. She accurately conveys a state of calm, longing, expectation, and strength, her gaze is confident.

IMPLEMENTATION

The first step in working on a painting is always imagination. I visualize different versions of female portraits.  I’m thinking about feelings, emotions, and the state in which she will be depicted.  And, as a rule, it is always a question of my personal experiences at that time when I working on the painting, j just portray what feel and what I go through in another female image. The second step is always a sketch. With light strokes and thin lines, I roughly sketch the composition on canvas. The third step is the light and shadow, which I designate with contrasting colors to highlight the volume and indicate the direction of the falling light on the face. The fourth step is to refine the color. I immediately think about what colors and shades I will use, but when the paint falls on the canvas, a new vision appears.
I see that you need to change, enhance, or lighten, or add more red, yes, there is a lot of red color in this portrait, but you will never see it, because it only gives an accent, the very RGB color that I need.
The fifth step is to draw all the details layer by layer. I’ve been painting for a long time. Each layer requires drying, but not complete drying, I get to a point where the paint becomes thick and sticky. So it takes several weeks or more than a month sometimes I working on one painting about three or four months.
My style is determined by several factors. The first factor is the technique of the image. I often use academic drawing techniques, but I never bring my portraits to photographic accuracy.
The second factor is the technique of execution, polishing, large strokes, pointillism, and so on, that is, how I apply the paint to the surface. I also use mixed image methods. The third factor is the plot and the depicted object. I only paint women, so you can say that I work in the field of fashionable portrait art.  My women are stylish, if not nude, always dressed in vogue, and wear large modern jewelry.

Style and Texture and Painting Technique

Interior Placement

Even if you are not a sensitive person, any drawings impress you, and each painting evokes your emotional state. This emotional state is the most important thing that visual art gives us, which we visually perceive, and our brain gives a certain reaction.
For the sake of impression and emotional state, I paint, and you watch.
As a consumer, everyone who hangs on the wall a painting in their home, office, or other space does it to be impressed, to create a mood, or to impress other people, such as guests, clients, or relatives.
Nowadays, there is no need to drill a wall, or use nails to hang a picture. Special stickers can be used to hang the picture and maintain the integrity of the wall.  Later, when you get tired of the picture, or you want to take it down and hang it in another room, you can easily do it without hooks or nails. I use special velcro for this purpose, and i also send these velcro stickers to my customers together with the painting. Packing depends on the size of the painting and buyer’s preference.
It is more convenient and easier to send paintings in a pipe, for this I use a double tube and soft materials for the interlayer.

It is very important for me and my buyers that the quality of materials should be high. Because the quality of the material means that the painting will be stored for a long time, the price is justified by the quality not only of artistic implementation but also of the materials of the painting. I use durable and very dense linen or cotton canvas and oil paints from the best manufacturers, and I also paint on professional linseed oil so that the painting retains its colors for many years.

I also take care of the back of the canvas so that the linen is kept clean and durable. You can also always check the backdrop of the painting, and if it is clean and sturdy, be sure that this painting will last you a long time.
