The artistic style, form, and technique behind Angel of Change are firmly rooted in modern approaches to art. In this era of constant change, we all need an angel—a guardian to help us adapt, survive, and thrive. This artwork is my interpretation of that need, captured on canvas to offer comfort and guidance to anyone who sees it.
IMPLEMENTATION
Created with oil paints on canvas, Angel of Change is brought to life using the impasto technique, where paint is applied thickly with a palette knife.
The dense, bold strokes give the painting a rough, textured surface, echoing the layers of experience that life builds upon us. The predominant colors—blue, dark blue, azure, and white—evoke a sense of calm and stability amidst the chaos, while also hinting at the infinite possibilities of the future.

In creating this piece, I have employed expressionist techniques, while remaining true to my own concept of implicit art. This means that while the painting does not rely on academic precision in its details, the viewer can still clearly discern the forms of the angel’s face, her flowing hair, and even the angelic feather that replaces a traditional earring. The rough brushstrokes and contrasting colors are a deliberate choice, allowing the painting to convey emotion and movement rather than rigid perfection.
Texture and Painting Technique
The textured surface is achieved through bold impasto brushstrokes and palette knife techniques. Thick layers of paint create depth, while delicate transitions between tones lend a soft, ethereal quality to the image.
